Top 5 Leaders in Retirement Living I Love and You Need to Follow

Upon retirement, I began searching for different leaders in the retirement field. I was looking for help with retirement living. I wanted something beyond retirement money planning. Here are a few of my favorite leaders. Because of the great information I gleaned, I encourage you to look at their websites. Maybe you will glean from them as well.

1. This organization is bringing reformation to the idea of retirement.

Bruce Bruinsma started Retirement Reformation. He wanted a place to put all the resources he had gathered during his research, so he started this website. Bruinsma wrote a book about retiring with a spiritual purpose. Afterward, he wrote a podcast and blog.

2. A leader in helping you live well and leave a legacy during retirement.

Bruce Peppin wrote The Best is Yet to Be: Moving Mountains in Midlife. From that book, he has developed a website Finishing Life Well: Live Inspired-Leave a Legacy. He is also on Facebook and Twitter. His blog posts are about real-world people living inspired lives and being intentional about leaving a legacy. The website also has a place where you can share a story about someone you know who has finished well.

3. A leader in helping you find your purpose in retirement.

After writing Third Calling: What are you doing the rest of your life? Richard and Leona Bergstrom began assisting boomers Re-ignite their passion for serving the Lord. They have many resources to help you find your purpose. Along with the book, they developed a study guide and video lessons to help you. Their website highlights many of their resources, and they even have additional content in the form of a blog where they post about once a month.

4. An excellent blog for general information regarding retirement.

Deborah Diane writes about retirement in her blog titled Baby Boomer Retirement. She covers all aspects of retirement, such as healthcare, caring for aging parents, travel, etc.; she has been writing her blog for seven years. She does a great job researching each topic and presenting solutions to many retirement concerns.

5. The leader in solo aging and aging without children.

Sara Zeff Geber, Ph.D. is the leader in Solo Aging. She has written three books on retirement. One is entitled Essential Retirement Planning for Solo Agers. She has many articles and blogs on retirement living in general. Major news outlets like Wall Street Journal, New Your Post, and The Huffington Post often quote Sara. She is a contributing blogger for Forbes.com. Because of her expertise, she has been a guest on various podcasts about retirement. Also, she received the “Influences in Aging” award from PBS’ Next Avenue. Sara has a presence on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Sara gives you much to think about when it comes to retirement living.
